Austin Theriault is a NASCAR driver and entrepreneur specializing in driver career development, management and performance optimization with well over a decade of motorsports experience.

From his local short track in Caribou, Maine, to NASCAR’s largest venues, Theriault is a proven winner. In 2017, he captured the ARCA Racing Series championship driving for Ken Schrader Racing, helping the team snap an almost two year win drought with 7 wins in 20 races. He has also made multiple starts in each of NASCAR’s top series Camping World Trucks, Xfinity and Cup Series with top teams such as Brad Keselowski Racing and JR Motorsports (owned by Dale Earnhardt, Jr.). With each opportunity, Theriault has built a strong network of industry leaders allowing him to keep current with the pulse of racing.

Throughout the industry Theriault is known as a fierce competitor who also protects a team’s equipment, having one of the lowest crash frequencies across racing series. Theriault leads laps when it counts, as his ARCA statistics show, with 73% of his laps led coming in the final quarter of the race with 3 final lap wins. Yet, that is not the whole story.

Theriault excels in his team communication which has been a hallmark of his career driving for smaller and often underfunded teams providing above average results on the track. In his work with young drivers, Theriault facilitates constructive conversations with his drivers and their teams around car set up, strategy and overall team communication. Having the skill to communicate well with a team can give a driver a competitive advantage on and off the track.

Building a racing career from the ground up is no easy task, Theriault has been there from his humble beginnings in a 4-cylinder class to regional late model and super late model series to NASCAR’s coveted Cup Series. As a competitor and consultant who understands both sides of the equation, the knowledge Theriault has of today’s racing technology is unmatched and for younger competitors looking to gain a competitive edge, learning from a seasoned veteran and Champion is invaluable. In addition, navigating a career in motorsports involves more than just having a dream, but a well established path and knowledge of what opportunities exist in the industry.

Despite having many racing interests, Theriault still manages to find time for himself from mountain biking and keeping up on current events to supporting causes he is passionate about such as raising awareness around thyroid disease, an often undiagnosed but treatable chronic health condition, that Theriault manages himself. He enjoys using his public platform to educate and inspire his fans and others outside of racing within his sphere of influence.
